A rather ambitious trip to Corsica, thanks to Laure. As my lens was very dirty, the process of putting the pictures up became a large project. The captions were fixed and augmented by Laure.

Afra > Corsica (Corse) is south of Nice, north of Sardinia, and a région of France (!), even though the people speak Corsu and like vendettas. I did not just say that.
Afra > The island is 183 by 83 km. We drove about 900 kilometers, as shown. We took a train from Ajacciu (Ajaccio) (N) to Corti (Corte) (M) and back.
Afra > My first look at Corsica on the flight from Paris. This is, of course, the west side of the island.

Afra > The roads are mostly made of switchbacks.
Afra > Day 1 (Porto-Vecchio, Palombaggia, Pantano): From Figari Airport, Laure took me to a Casa del Mar resort in Porto-Vecchio for lunch. This is the view down to the lunch patio.
